Gameshark Ps1 Android

I noticed some users were coming in the post about How to put GameShark codes on ePSXe for Android in search for the PC version, not for the Android version. So I decided to write this post in order to avoid confusion between them. Also, this method works for older versions of the emulator.
NOTE: This post is intended to show how to MANUALLY put the epsxe cheat codes. There is another way to do that, but it’s nice to learn how things work, isn’t it? So let’s see!

A Gameshark is a cheating device cartridge which you can purchase from sites such as ebay (as they are old now and probably only available second hand) which allow you to enter in various codes for a range of different enhancements or cheats in your game. Cara menggunakan GameShark cukup mudah, jika Anda pakai perangkat PS1, Anda harus membeli kasetnya terlebih dulu. Tapi karena perangkat PS1 sudah punah, jadi yang tersisa sekarang hanya game saja. Untuk sekarang modal smartphone Android dan emulator ePSXe kita sudah bisa bernostalgia dengan hampir semua game PS1.

Well, I will assume you have the emulator installed and configured. Otherwise, you can download ePSXe from the Official Website.

Now, open the emulator, click on Run, then on the option Enable Logs and restart the program. It will show you another window, now run the game and copy somewhere the information that will be shown at the highlighted area, see the picture below:

In this case, the code is SCUS-941.63, which is for the game Final Fantasy VII (US version).

Now navigate to the main directory of the emulator and open the cheat folder, right click on it and create a text document with the same name of the game region code we saw above. For example, in this case the text file will be called SCUS_941.63, like the picture below:

NOTE: Be careful, you have to change the hyphen ( – ) to an underline ( _ ).

Now open this file and let’s put the codes. You can find many on the Internet. Now that you have them, write the codes in the format below:

NOTE: There’s a space between the 8th and 4th digit. It should be like the picture below:

Ok, almost done. Now, open the emulator, run the game. Then, press ESC to return to ePSXe menu, click on Option and choose Cheat Codes. Here you should see the codes descriptions that were put in step 2. If not, go to the step 2 and try again. Now select the codes you want to enable (left side) and click on the Enable-> button, or you can just click on Enable All. It’s the same if you want to Disable, just select the code (right side) and click on <-Disable, or just hit Disable All. Check the picture:

In this example, only the Max HP code is enabled. After that, just hit OK, then click on Run, and Continue to return to the game. Now you know how to enter gameshark code in ePSXe! Have fun!

WARNING! Try to enable a few codes at once, since GameShark codes can break your save game.

Yes, we have newer console video games, better computers and tablets… But some people still like to play some PSX games, like Final Fantasy Series, Chrono Cross, Metal Gear, etc. The point is that now we can enjoy those classic games on our Android based cellphones using the well-known ePSXe, one of the best PSX emulator. You can buy it from the Google Play. In this post, I’ll explain how to use cheats on ePSXe for Android. There are two ways to do that, so let’s see both of them.

NOTE: You can use Game Guardian to modify values on the emulated games too. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I suggest reading my post about HOW TO HACK SIMPLE GAMES ON ANDROID.

Cara Menggunakan Gameshark Ps1 Android

1. Assuming that you already have the app installed on the phone, open it and run the game.

2.Make sure you have access to the Internet, press the menu button of your device and choose ‘Cheat Codes’.

3. If it’s empty, ePSXe will ask if you want to download the gameshark codes. Simply wait until download is done, and you can check the codes!

4. However, sometimes not all the codes work. Because of that, you need to know the second way to put codes.

1. Open ePSXe and tap ‘Run Game’.

2. On the ‘List of Games’ screen, pay attention on the 3rd line of your ROM. There should be something like Sxxx-xxxxx, so take note of it and close the app. In my example, it’s SCUS-94163.

3. Open your favourite Text Editor and create a .txt file with this format:

So my file name is SCUS_941.63.txt

NOTE: You have to change the “–” to an “underline“

4. Now open the file and put the codes, following this format:

5. After writing all the codes you want, save the file and put it on ‘cheats’ folder, inside ePSXe folder (it’s usually located at /sdcard/epsxe/cheat/).

6. Finally, open ePSXe, run the game and tap ‘Cheat Codes’ from the menu. You made it! All your codes should be there!! Now that you know how to enter gameshark codes in epsxe, just remember that it’s not recommended to save your game with certain code activated, because it may crash your game.
